1937-63
Merrill Kendall started Kendall Motor Co.

 

1963
Walter de Martini bought and created Kendall Ford, Inc. in Eugene, Oregon.


1990

Kendall Honda in Eugene is acquired.

 

1992
Kendall Lexus of Eugene is built.

 

1993
Kendall Acura is acquired. Kendall Auto Credit is created.

 

1997
Holloman Ford is acquired in Cottage Grove.

 

1998
Holloman Ford becomes Kendall Auto Center in October.

 

2000
New Kendall Auto Center of Cottage Grove building is completed.

 

2002
Romania dealerships in Eugene are acquired: Chevrolet, Subaru, Toyota, and Hyundai.

 

2004
Newly constructed Auto Mall in Eugene opens with new Chevy, Honda and Acura stores. Lewiston store is purchased.

 

2005
Dunham is acquired.

 

2006
Kendall Auto Center of Bend opens in August. Kendall Ford of Eugene is remodeled in October.

 

2007
Broke ground for new Toyota store in Eugene, topping out at 55-57,000 square feet.

 

2008
Nye Family of Dealerships acquired. Kendall Auto Alaska is created. New Toyota store in Eugene is completed and going for LEED Platinum Certification through the U.S. Green Building Council.

 

2009

Merger with Auto Service Company of Fairbanks, Alaska completed.  Brands include Toyota, Subaru, Honda, Mazda and Mercedes-Benz service.

 

2010

- Kendall Toyota store in Eugene, OR is first automotive dealership in the world to receive platinum certification from US Green Building Council; the highest level of LEED (Leadership of Energy and Environmental Design) certification

- Kendall Kia of Fairbanks opens in Fairbanks, AK.

- Kendall 4 Seasons Subaru opens in Missoula, Montana after acquisition of 4 Seasons Motors in August.


2011

Vern Eide Motorcars of Lewiston, ID is acquired. Kendall Subaru and Chevrolet are added to the current Lewiston lineup of Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Ram.
